Our Governance Framework

South Asian Heritage Trust is committed to maintaining the highest standards of governance, transparency and accountability in all areas of our work.

As a registered charity, we operate within a robust framework that supports responsible decision-making, effective oversight and long-term organisational sustainability.

Our governance structure ensures that the Trust remains focused on its charitable objectives while continuing to serve the communities and partners we work with across the UK.

Board of Trustees

The Trust is guided by a Board of Trustees who bring a breadth of expertise spanning law, education, culture, community leadership, health and public service.

Trustees are responsible for:

  • Setting the strategic direction of the charity
  • Ensuring resources are used effectively and in line with our charitable purpose
  • Upholding strong financial stewardship
  • Supporting good governance and risk management
  • Safeguarding the reputation and integrity of the organisation

The Board meets quarterly to review progress, oversee strategy, and ensure the Trust continues to deliver meaningful public benefit.
