How to submit
your story.
We are building the largest archive of South Asian stories in the UK. Your story belongs here. Follow three simple steps to register, log in and share your heritage with the world.
Create your free account.
Registering takes less than two minutes. You only need a name and email address. Your account gives you a personal dashboard where you can submit and manage your stories and events.
Once registered you will receive a confirmation email, check your spam folder if it does not arrive within a few minutes.
Register for FreeLog in to your account.
Once registered, log in using your email address and the password you created. From your dashboard you can submit new stories, check the status of existing submissions and update your profile.
If you forget your password, use the Lost Password link on the login page and a reset link will be sent to your email.
Write and submit your story.
From your dashboard, click Write a Story. Give your story a clear title, write your content in the editor, choose relevant categories and tags, and add a featured image before submitting.
All stories are reviewed by the SAHT web team before publishing. You will be notified once your story is live. If any changes are needed, we will be in touch.
Write Your StoryTips for a great story.
Personal, authentic stories are the most powerful. Write as you would speak. There is no required format and no minimum word count, though we recommend at least 300 words.
Stories without a featured image will not be approved. Use an image at least 1200 x 630px, maximum 2MB, in JPG, PNG or WebP format. Only use images you own or have permission to use.
Help people find your story by selecting relevant categories and adding tags. Think about the themes, countries, time periods and communities your story covers.
Stories should relate to South Asian heritage, history, culture or community in the UK. This includes personal memories, family histories, community experiences and cultural reflections.
All submissions are reviewed by our web team. This typically takes a few days. You will receive an email notification when your story goes live or if we need any changes.
