2026 marks 7 years since the first South Asian Heritage Month was launched in the UK to celebrate, commemorate, and educate. This year’s theme, ’Unity in Diversity‘, encourages us to celebrate our differences, hold spaces without shrinking, learn with curiosity, stand together, and build joyful resilience.
In recognition of South Asian Heritage Month 2026, Elsevier’s anti-racism chapter of its race and ethnicity employee resource group Embrace and the Lancet‘s Group for Racial Equity (GRacE) are excited to invite you to a special virtual panel discussion exploring:
- How heritage has shaped the journeys that our panellists have taken
- Common values that unite diverse South Asian communities
- System-level factors in healthcare affecting South Asian patients
- Race and ethnicity data, misinformation, and responsible AI
- What we can all do to foster a more inclusive and diverse world
On 9th July at 12.00–13.15 (BST), we’ll be joined by:
