I’m Sangeeta Pillai, the creator of the multi-award-winning Masala Podcast as well as the founder of South Asian feminist network Soul Sutras. My work is all about challenging South Asian cultural taboos: from sex, sexuality, periods, shame, mental health, menopause and more. While celebrating many life-enhancing aspects of our culture: from Kamasutra, Tantra, Ayurveda, Bollywood and beyond.
Masala Podcast has won 6 British Podcast Awards, 1 Audio Production Award & the Spotify SoundUp 2018 award. Most recently, Sangeeta and Masala Podcast have been on giant billboards in New York, London, Dublin, Cardiff & Glasgow. And been featured extensively in the press from BBC Radio, Guardian, Metro, Cosmopolitan, Evening Standard, Stylist, Eastern Eye to Huffington Post, Deccan Herald.
The Sri Lankan Culture Collective is a project founded by Rosh Olivelle, Thana Sivasambu, and Ranji Thangiah, creative entrepreneurs who are passionate about celebrating Sri Lankan heritage, culture and identity.
The debut theatre show from comedian Anu Vaidyanathan is her story of being a south Indian immigrant who has lost her co-ordinates and her language,

The first of the Trust’s projects is the South Asian Heritage Month (SAHM), which first took place in 2020 and runs from the 18th of July to the 17th of August each year.
SAHM seeks to commemorate, mark and celebrate South Asian cultures, histories, and communities.
It seeks to understand the diverse heritage and cultures that continue to link the UK with South Asia.
