Legends of South Asian Heritage in Scotland
Launch of the Documentary and Photography Exhibition by Networking Key Services (NKS)
We are delighted to announce an upcoming event celebrating the significant contributions of notable South Asian individuals to Scottish society during the 18th and 19th centuries, highlighting inspiring narratives of historical figures such as Maharaja Duleep Singh, Abdul Karim, Rabindranath Tagore, Noor Inayat Khan, Sophia Duleep Singh, and others who played vital roles in shaping the cultural and social history of Scotland and the UK.
Additionally, The event will feature the launch of “Tales and Whispers,” A collection of impactful stories of migrants by Naina Minhas.
The primary objective of this event is to educate and inspire contemporary generations of South Asian heritage while enhancing public awareness of the rich and enduring connections between South Asia and Scotland/UK.
