Join us this Easter for a day of creativity, challenge, and discovery at The Gurkha Museum Trust. From 1100 hrs to 1600 hrs on 31 March, families are invited to step into the jungle and explore the ingenuity and bravery that form part of Gurkha history.
Inspired by the remarkable work of Gurkha Engineers during the Borneo Confrontation in 1966, take on our spaghetti bridge challenge. Design, build, and test your own structure, working together to see if your invention can stand the test. It’s a hands-on way to explore the resourcefulness and teamwork that have long defined Gurkha service. Discover the story of Lance Corporal Dambarbahadur and his courageous actions in Borneo. During your visit, find his Military Medal in the Gallery and create your own medal to take home at our craft station.
About the activity:
- Family drop-in sessions run from 1100 hrs to 1600 with no booking required.
- Designed for children aged between 4 and 10 years old.
- All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
- FREE family activity day; voluntary donations welcome.
