Four brown girls walk into an audition… and walk out with a revolution. 

When the roles they’re offered start to look more like stereotypes than stories, four South Asian women decide to flip the script and take the stage for themselves. 

From Love Island: South Asia to Aunt-enborough, with stops at heartbreak, sisterhood, grief, joy, and the things we’re taught not to speak about, Brown Girl Noise is a fierce, funny, and deeply human celebration of South Asian womanhood in all its complexity.  

Created by and starring South Asian women, it is a show about finding your feet on British streets, told through skits, stories, and spoken word, it is as bold as it is heartfelt: a protest and a party all at once. 

After a sold-out run at The Hope Theatre (Six weeks before opening!) and a follow-up at The Glitch, Brown Girl Noise returns — bigger, better, and noisier — for a two-week run at Riverside Studios. Written by Kaya Uppal, directed by Zarshaa Ismail and presented by The South Asian Beauty Collective, this new staging brings even more chaos, catharsis and connection to the stage.
