Black Country Multicultural Day Weekender 2026

Black Country Multicultural Weekender is a free, family friendly celebration of culture, heritage and community across the Black Country. The event brings together music, dance, food, arts and storytelling from the many communities who have helped shape the region’s identity. It creates space for people of all ages and backgrounds to connect, learn and celebrate together.

Now established as one of the area’s leading grassroots cultural festivals, the Weekender highlights local talent, supports community organisations and small businesses, and promotes inclusion, pride and unity through shared experiences.

The programme reflects the people of the Black Country past, present and future, celebrating the generations who came to work in the factories and foundries and built today’s communities.

Alongside the main outdoor stages, we are delivering additional free, drop in activities inside the town centre at the Cornbow Shopping Centre in Halesowen.

These include:

Interactive line dancing workshops open to all ages and abilities
An energetic Bhangra dance workshop celebrating Punjabi music and movement
Family friendly sessions where visitors can learn steps, join in and take part

These sessions are designed to be welcoming and beginner friendly, encouraging shoppers, families and passers by to stop, join in and experience different cultures through dance and shared fun.
