The month will still have the same focus on commemorating and celebrating South Asian cultures, identities, histories, and communities, but spread over the whole of July.
Dates are changing for the following reasons:
To align with the majority school term calendar and help work alongside end-of-term activities.
To increase accessibility and uptake for audiences across the world.
To respect SAHM’s evolution from a UK-rooted project to a global movement with diverse diasporic engagement.
To help make it easier for everyone to remember our dates each year.
