SWAS Launch
Join us to celebrate the official launch of SWAS Inhale Strength – Exhale Change a powerful platform created by and for South Asian Social Care Professionals.
This event is for anyone with an interest in supporting and celebrating South Asian communities – whether you are working in or with the social care sector, this event is for YOU!
We are very lucky to have our event hosted by the inspiring Narinder P Kaur Sidhu. Narinder spent 30 years in the police service, which included working in the public protection unit with domestic abuse, Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), honour based violence, and pioneering the police response to culturally informed approaches to safeguarding which was shared as best practice across the UK.
This launch coincides with South Asian Heritage Month — a perfect time to honour South Asian communities and stories, from ‘Roots to Routes’, through art, poetry and networking.
Please note:
- Access to the venue is via Senate House (close to Russell Square, Tottenham Court Road and Goodge Street tube stations) and fully accessible
- Light refreshments and snacks will be available
- Tickets are refundable upon attendance
- Please ensure you check in on arrival and complete registration (required for refund)
