We are delighted that Leeds Playhouse and BBC Radio Leeds have given us another chance to listen to Partition, a play specially commissioned for the 70th Anniversary of Partition in 2017. Partition explores how the history of the Indian sub-continent continues to tear families apart many years after the events of 1947. As Saima and Ranjit prepare for their wedding, hate threatens to destroy their union. Will love or hate prevail?
Featuring an ensemble cast including Balvinder Sopal (currently starring in Eastenders). Partition is a co-production between Leeds Playhouse and BBC Radio Leeds. The play will be available for 2 weeks from 1 August (LINK TBC) followed by a panel discussion on the 14 August at 6pm featuring Nick Ahad (BBC Radio Leeds), Stefan Escreet (Director), Mez Galaria (Actor), Dominic Gately (Actor) and Darren Kuppan (Actor).
