Thee Black Swan is delighted to bring their live music show to The Cockpit – the perfect venue for this dramatic and full-on, brand new jazz / gospel opera.
Greek tragedy meets gospel opera in Thee Black Swan’s captivating new show Medea Gosperia.
Dramatic and provocative, this diverse, female-led production gels music and dance against a vibrant Caribbean backdrop breathing new life into Euripides’ classic tragedy. A diverse cast showcasing four Indian opera singers and their connection to the Indian diaspora in the Caribbean and all over the world.
Fusing the complexities of the female experience with the rich heritage of the Caribbean culture and featuring a Greek chorus and gospel choir, Medea Gosperia takes us on an epic, emotional journey you won’t want to miss.
This is a rollercoster ride of tense drama and emotions run high.
The music is live and includes classical, lovers rock and jazz singers accompanied by a live band.
