Mini Mela – St Albans Museum + Gallery
To celebrate South Asian Heritage Month (July 18th – August 17th) we will be holding a Mini Mela, a South Asian festival, in our Assembly Room. The countries in South Asia are usually considered to be Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, all of which have a long shared history with the UK.
Drop in any time during the day and help us to celebrate our rich and diverse communities. Learn more, take part in craft activities, add to our mandala installation, experiment with mehndi patterns, watch cultural clothing demonstrations and have lots of fun! Entry and all crafts are free, South Asian snacks will be available to purchase on the day.
