Midday Mantra: Sampad’s Summer Party

Party South Asian style with Sampad South Asian Arts and Heritage and B:Music at the finest Summer party in the Jennifer Blackwell Space, Symphony Hall, Birmingham! We’ll be celebrating the sunshine with upbeat music, dance and a few Summer surprises.

Rohan Roy Collective is a band that blends Indian music (classical ragas and folk) with Western contemporary genres such as jazz, featuring musicians from diverse backgrounds. The band is composed of some of the most talented musicians in London, and they perform original compositions that reflect this fusion of sounds. The compositions stem from the flavours of Indian music and are aimed at navigating through various emotions and execution through different musical styles.

The current line-up of the band includes Rohan Roy on violin, Giuliano Modarelli on guitar, and Himanish Goswani on tabla. Together, they create a unique and mesmerising sound that captivates audiences and showcases the beauty of blending different musical traditions. The band’s performances are known for their improvisational nature, with each musician given the opportunity to showcase their skills and creativity. With their dynamic and soulful performances, Rohan Roy Collective continues to push the boundaries of what is possible in the world of fusion music.
