DESCRIPTION:Join us at Brig Cafe for Through Our Eyes, a free, three-day mixed media group exhibition running during South Asian Heritage Month.\n\nOver 20 artists. Diverse backgrounds. One shared theme: Unity in Diversity. \n\nPainting, collage, film, poetry, essays, ceramics, textiles, and more – all under one roof, all free to attend.\n\nRooted in South Asian Heritage Month, the exhibition reaches further – drawing together artists from across communities to explore identity, belonging and diaspora.\n\n\nWorkshops:\nAlongside the exhibition, each day features a free, hands-on workshop open to all.\n\nWednesday 22nd July @ 11:00 – 16:00 — Community Collage\nUsing paper, colour, and found materials, visitors are invited to contribute a small collage square to a growing collective tapestry inspired by Birmingham and the communities that make it. No experience needed — just show up and make something.\n\nThursday & Friday 23rd & 24th July @ 11:00 -16:00 — Muggu Workshop\nMuggu (also known as Kolam) is a traditional South Asian floor art practice made using rice flour, passed down through generations. Fun, meditative, and open to all ages — no experience needed whatsoever.\n\nBoth workshops are free.
