DESCRIPTION:\nucl_culturelab\nCome and see our art work as part of our new exhibition on Patterns!\nit was such a pleasure to be hosted in three recent workshops at the Culture Lab.\n \nEngaging with phulkari, an important tradition of embroidery from the Punjab region, as a starting point, a group of local women came together to explore community, heritage, culture and memory.\n \nLearning about phulkari stitches and patterns from artists Amarjeet Nandhra and working throughout with artist Suman Gujral on techniques of block print, embroidery and collage, the women made artworks about their identity, culture and heritage.\n \nOur work alongside Suman Gujral’s prints, poems and embroidery pieces will be on display at the Culture Lab from May 28th\n \n \n
